Blog Awards and Blog Candy

Hi there and Happy Monday to you! I wish I could say that my week has started out well, but I am currently battling a nasty cold, blech! I felt a out of sorts yesterday and by the time I went to bed, it was clear that I was getting sick. Not part of my plans this week either. Grrr! Anyhoo, I don't have a card to share today but wanted to take the time to thank some folks who have been so sweet to share blog awards with me. PLUS, if you hang around to the end of the post there is some BLOG CANDY waiting there! Yahoo!

I was honored with the "Stylish Blogger Award" recently from:
Thank you so much, ladies! Please stop by and visit their blogs, too. They are all unbelievably talented and very stylish bloggers themselves. :) Now I am supposed to share 8 things about myself. That's a lot for my stuffed-up head to handle today, so I am just going to share one "crafty quirk" with you:

-Whenever I finish a project, I always have to clean my desk off completely. Right down to wiping it off with a Clorox wipe! (but ONLY an orange-scented Clorox wipe, they are my favorite!) Even if I am going to immediately start another project. Everything must be put away in it's home first! Nine times out of ten, I end up dragging the same items out again, but at least I know where they are.

I'm also supposed to share this award with 8 more blogs. I always hate that part, because I can't just pick 8. So here is what I'm going to do. If you are reading this post...I am bestowing this award on YOU! Then I can spread the bloggin' cheer to everyone! :)

Now, about that BLOG CANDY!! Instead of giving a bunch of treats away all in one pop, I am going to share small "bites" of candy at a time. I think that is so much more fun that way. Today, I am offering up 4 yards of ribbon (3 are from the Occasions Mini catalog) to one lucky reader. You will receive: 1 yard of Daffodil Delight Pom Pom Trim, 1 yard of Poppy Parade Stitched Poly ribbon, 1 yard of Rose Red Seam Binding and 1 yard of Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding. Ps: there will also be a handmade card in the package, too. I just don't know which one yet. :)
How do you win it, you ask? That's the easy part. Just leave a comment on this post telling me what your absolute favorite crafting supply is. Is it bling (like me)? Is it an embossing folder? Maybe it is one particular stamp. Just share what your favorite item is and on Saturday, March 19th I will select one random, lucky winner to ship this ribbon off to. So be sure to come back and see if it is YOU!

That's all for today! It's time for more cold meds. *sniff, sniff* Please, stop by tomorrow for my card for the new Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge. Enjoy your day today! :)

  3. Aww Anne, feel better! Take lots of zinc and drink green tea with honey and lemon. My friends joke with me that I'm an old hippie soul trapped in a 27 year old's body, but they stop laughing when my remedies work!!! Congrats on your blog award. I think you and I have more in common than I thought. I too have to clean my craft room once a project is finished. Right down to vacuuming the floor and organizing my papers that were strewn out! AND my favorite crafty item is no doubt my bling. That tends to encompass a lot, like Stickles, rhinestones, shiny ribbon, etc. But I always say, if it doesn't sparkle, it isn't finished!

  5. Evening, Miss Anne-Marie!! I hope your medicine kicks in and you are feeling better! I'm Smiling huge at your quirk, as I have the same one - I'm almost OCD about keeping just about everything neat and tidy and it just makes for happy crafting to see it all picked up and wonderful! Ooooooh on the orange scent - you'd love our orange tree growing full of fruit right out in the yard .... sometimes I sit under it just to take it all in - the warm sunshine, the tropical breeze and the glorious smell of citrus! Big hugs! x0x0

Ok, my fav. crafting supply is ribbons. hehe... how fitting is that for this blog candy, huh? :) and no, I'm not just saying that. Buttons comes close but ribbons is what seems to be taking over my stamp area.

  7. First, congrats on the award. Hopefully that will cheer you up a bit.

I love bling on my cards, too, but I have to say my favorite crafting supply is my Silhouette machine. My DH gave it to me for Christmas. I've been having so much fun with it. I also love paper, too, especially designer paper. I love all the patterns. It makes my eyes happy. ;-)

  18. Hey Anne Marie - I hope you feel better soon! Hope the boys are behaving for you so you can rest up. Hmm - my absolute favorite crafting supply probably has to be my embossing folders as I tend to use them on every card I create. So that would be the EF and the Big Shot since they go hand in hand. LOL

  19. Anne Marie,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog and absolutely adore your style. Um...have I told you that before, because I meant to - I just don't know if I did or not. I love this chick card and you've really inspired me to do something special with the insides of my cards. I thought about it all day and my favorite crafting supply is the sponge. I have been sponging everything now and it brings so much vibrancy and life to everything. I don't have a blog yet, so I don't think I can win your contest.

  22. What a fun giveaway! I'm going to be doing something similar at my blog starting next week, hopefully. I was going to do one big giveaway, but I decided it would be more fun, plus more people get to win, if I do it in smaller intervals. So stay tuned!

My favorite embellishment is ribbon! Or twine. I just love it!

  24. Sorry your cold is hanging on, but glad you're starting to feel more like yourself! (I live in SA, too, so there are many who can sympathize with you, since allergies can be a lot like a cold!)
As for your question, I love my marker set the best. It's so fun to color stamps and give them different colors, and handy when you need a color, but don't own that particular stamp pad.
Thanks for the chance to win - hope you feel much better very soon!!
