Just Sayin' For Paper Players #184

Hello there! This week at the Paper Players, we have a fun sketch designed by Jaydee. There are a lot of possibilities for this layout. I know I will be using this one again, for sure.
For my card, I knew I wanted to use a trio of patterned paper for the banners...but that was easier said then done. Ha! I am the most indecisive person on the planet when it comes to paper selection. (If you have ever stamped with me, you KNOW this to be true.) I finally decided on the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack because I just LOVE this color combo. I also had some baker's twine in coordinating colors sitting on my desk, so that helped, too. ;)

I used the simple sentiment from Just Sayin' and cut it out with the coordinating Word Bubble Framelit Dies. I added a pop of Red Glimmer Paper behind it cut out with the Ovals Framelits Dies. It's more sparkly in real life, I promise. That paper always reminds me of Dorothy's ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz. See, now you are thinking it, too! There's no place like home...
Please join us over at the Paper Players The challenge is open through Friday, February 28th, 2014 at Noon (PDT). Stop by and say hello to the rest of the Design Team to see what they are sharing this week. Have a great day!

  1. This is adorable.....and I have always thought of ruby slippers when I look at that paper too! I am loving your twine...perfect for these colors!

  2. Don't even talk to me about indecision! I can stare at my stamps for an hour before I even pick them up! Love how you used this layout, Anne Marie, and your ruby slipper paper! (hugs) Sandy

  3. AM, I know exactly what you mean about choosing DSPs. In the end, I don't use them because I can't make up my mind. However, I love your combo and I love the red just sayin' with the glimmer paper behind. Fabulous take on the sketch.

  4. I am certain that indecision is why it takes me at least an hour to make a card---argh!! I know just what you mean....but I love the DSP combo you've used here. These colors are so happy and are made even more so by the sparkle and texture. I'm not calling it Glimmer Paper anymore--from now on it's "Ruby Slipper Paper"! Great card, AM. ((hugs))

  5. Very pretty card! Love that paper and embossed background!

  6. Adorable, Anne Marie! I love the glitz! The bakers twine bow is too cute!

  7. Anne Marie, this is perfect! Love your choice of papers (even if it took a while) and the bling from glimmer paper is wonderful!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!
Have a great day! :)
